How a tool ships

What “Last reviewed” means

On the review date shown, the page's formulas were re-run against the test suite and its cited figures were re-checked against their sources. Any change — a rate, a formula, a boundary — gets a changelog entry. The annual heavy check happens each December, when the IRS publishes the next year's figures.

How the content is produced

Pages are drafted and engineered with software assistance and reviewed by me before publishing. What makes them trustworthy is not who typed them — it's that every number is machine-verified by the public suite and every legal claim links to its primary source. Judge the site by those two artifacts; they're both one click away.

Credentials

No page on this site claims a professional credential that its author doesn't hold. There are currently no CPA/EA-reviewed pages; if that changes, the reviewer will be a real, named professional, paid for the review, with no say over editorial conclusions.

Corrections

Confirmed errors are fixed in this order: failing test case added → fix → changelog entry. Report via GitHub.

Money

See the disclosure page for exactly how this site earns (currently: it doesn't). Editorial rules that money can never change: calculators stay free and sign-up-free, boundaries stay stated, and no ranking or recommendation is ever sold.
